    WHAT IS LIGHT DEPRIVATION?
    Light deprivation, also called “light depo” or “light dep,” is an agricultural growing technique that controls how often and how much light plants receive. Light deprivation greenhouses accomplish this by using blackout material to enclose the plants, simulating different seasonal changes. The resulting darkness tricks plants into responding by flowering on command; this allows growers to reduce the time necessary for plants to reach maturity, and enjoy multiple harvests per year vs. outdoor grows that are entirely limited to a single growing season. Just as different kinds of plants require different growing conditions, determining the best plants to grow using light deprivation greenhouses comes down to understanding photoperiodism.
     
    Why Light Deprivation?
    The highest quality flowers can be produced with light deprivation because you have the environmental controls of an indoor facility but the spectrum and lumens the SUN provides. Controlling the light cycle by depping (covering) the greenhouse gives the growers the ability to grow more dense flower by being exact with the timing of the flowering photo periods. The biggest advantage of our fully automated light deprivation greenhouses is the ability to get this timing exact. One forgetful grower forgetting to pull tarps on a manual greenhouse by just a few minutes here and there can really impact the quality of the flower.

    Modern appearance, special designing structure, high intensity, easy assembly, single film is suitable for tropic area while air-inflated film is suitable for frigid area.

    II. Structural Characteristics
    Gothic roof structure, span: 8M/9.6M, section: 4M /5M.
    Gutter height: 3-5M, top height: 5.5-7.5M.
    The frame works structure is assembled by prefabricated parts. All main parts are hot dipping galvanized after processing with zinc cover 275G/M2 in order to avoid any rust.
    Covering is 3 layers extruding film, the outer layer has the function of dustproof and the inner layer anti-dripping; UV block treatment.

     

    The greenhouse is specially designed for growing medical herb and can also be used for growing mushrooms.
    * The surface of the greenhouse is covered with a layer of transparent plastic film, and there is an automatic Blackout system inside, which covers three layers of full shading nets.
    * In order to save costs, it is also possible to cover only one or more layers of black and white plastic film on the outermost layer, and no shading net is installed inside.
    * Ventilation windows can be installed on the top and around the greenhouse, and equipped with a cooling system and a circulation fan. The cooling system is equipped with a light trap device.
