How an Ebb and Flow Grow Table Works:

Structure: The system consists of a grow table (a shallow, waterproof tray) filled with a growing medium (like clay pellets, rockwool) where plants are placed.
Flooding (Flow): A water pump, controlled by a timer, floods the grow table with nutrient-rich water from a reservoir. The water saturates the growing medium and delivers nutrients directly to the plant roots.
Draining (Ebb): After a set period (usually 10–30 minutes), the water drains back into the reservoir through a drainage system. This allows the roots to dry out slightly and absorb oxygen, which is crucial for healthy plant growth.
Cycle: The process repeats at regular intervals, ensuring plants receive both nutrients and oxygen.

Hydroponic ebb and flow trays uses pumps and a large water reservoir to periodically flood the plant
